Kenyan socialite and businesswoman Amber Ray has stirred intense online debate after posting screenshots of a private conversation with media figure Oga Obinna.
Amber, whose real name is Faith Makau, shared the messages via Instagram Stories, claiming her intention was to expose what she described as consistent disrespect from Obinna, born Steve Oga.
In the shared screenshots, Obinna appears to make comments that Amber considered insulting and dismissive. She explained that the exchange reflected an ongoing pattern of mistreatment that she could no longer ignore.
“This isn’t something I usually do,” Amber said, “but sometimes you need to show people the energy they give off, especially when you’ve done nothing to deserve it.”
She further clarified that this wasn’t an isolated incident but part of a broader issue, alleging that Obinna has repeatedly targeted her both in public and in private conversations.
Though she didn’t reveal when the messages were sent, Amber’s decision to post them came soon after Obinna gave a media interview where he seemed to criticize her lifestyle and public image. She called the comments hypocritical given the nature of their private exchanges.
Obinna, known for his bold opinions and comedic style, has yet to respond publicly to the controversy.
